The mission of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is to provide counseling, training, information and professional resources for potential and existing business owners. Serving 18 counties, the SBDC has a 31-year record of sustained economic impact in the form of access to capital, business starts, job creation, and sales increases.
The SBDC depends on financial support from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), local government, and contributions from businesses and individuals to operate. Investment in the SBDC provides a significant return to the community: Economic Development
Small businesses comprise more than 90% of all businesses in Central California. To sustain job growth and support economic development efforts to attract large companies to the area, we need a healthy small business community.
Leverage
Investment in SBDC and its SBRN more than triples, as it attracts matching federal dollars and leverages other contributions.
Economic Impact
An independent study shows that businesses assisted by SBDCs grow at three times the rate of unassisted firms.
Return on Investment
Your contribution will assure the continuation and expansion of the proven SBDC counseling and training programs that are fueling economic growth in Central California.
